Q and A: FAQs About Renewal by Andersen® Warranties

At Renewal by Andersen® of Rapid City, we take pride in offering industry-leading window warranties. We have a “one-company accountability” policy, which is why we take full responsibility for all defects in manufacturing, material and workmanship our products may develop.

To understand our warranties better, let’s answer the most commonly asked questions about them:

What Components Are Covered?

As with our swinging and sliding patio door systems, practically all components of our windows are protected by different warranties.

Our High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass comes with 20-year protection, guaranteeing it not to develop any material obstruction of vision premature organic seal failure. Our Fibrex® material components are warranted not to corrode, rot, pit, crack, blister, pit, rust, or flake for 10 years.

Our non-glass and non-Fibrex material components also come with a 10-year warranty. The covered window elements include hinges, balance systems, locks, lifts and handles.

Are They Transferable?

Yes, our warranties are fully transferable to the next owner of your home. Choosing us for window and door replacement services gives a lot of bang for your buck. When you resell your property, our warranties can act as a bargaining chip to get you a higher asking price.

How Does the Claim Procedure Work?

Our claim process is simple and convenient. Each of our products has an identification label containing the serial number and the hotline to call to report a problem unit.

From the date of notification, expect to receive a call from us within two weeks. A Renewal by Andersen representative will arrange an appropriate action for your problem. If you provide us all of the details we need early on, we can get the investigation started much sooner.

Is There a Fee for Any Non-Warranty Repair?

Our warranties cover defects arising after your window and French doors installation. However, you may be held responsible for all costs related to a repair when the root of the problem isn’t included in the warranty coverage.

Furthermore, you may be charged an inspection fee for any on-site visit related to ambiguous issues. The fee will be waived if the inspector determines that the problem is indeed a product defect.
