Explaining the U-Factor
Typically, windows conduct direct sunlight into the interior of your home. Over the next few hours, the exposure causes it to heat up, resulting in reduced comfort levels. The rate of heat transference through the window is its U-Factor. In general, a lower U-Factor is better, which we’ll explain later on.
Apart from transference, U-Factor also considers airflow and emissivity. In terms of airflow, this rating can help you determine how much air passes through the window.
